RITSOS AUDIOVISUAL NECESSITIES is a shop specialized in Audio and Video accessories, located in the center of Athens, Greece. Its owner Vaggelis Ritsos, now with over 30 years of professional experience in the field of retail sales of Audio Equipment and at least 38 as a music lover and a serious audiophile, very early realized that equipment by themselves irrespective of how good they are, don’t guarantee the level of sound quality they are capable of.

Other factors like room acoustics, power line quality, connecting cables, anti vibrational equipment and loudspeaker support and many other are crucial for the sound quality emerging from our Audio and Video Systems.

So at 1994 he decided that a shop dedicated to all these products that started to come out in the ‘80s and their mission was to help Audiophiles extract the most from their systems, was a Necessity.

In the early ‘00s when the Internet was starting to become the new way of obtaining information and shopping, the idea of a RITSOS AUDIOVISUAL NECESSITIES Online Store was starting to emerge. It took quite a while to start becoming materialized but Vaggelis Ritsos, a perfectionist by nature, dreamed of an Online Store with standards as high as the high quality equipment and accessories he was always fond of· nice looking and relaxed layout, lots of information and large, full of detail images. Of course it will take a lot of time to be fully materialized – it is an extremely time consuming work – but the start has been done...
